As we have mentioned in our previous post that you can monitor the traffic and requests from your Google JSON credential file. Once you find that there is any abnormal situations or the requests not coming from yourself, you can disable or even delete the Google API in your Google Cloud dashboard immediately. This will save your free credit and money.
So, in this post, you will learn how to disable or delete Google API in Cloud dashboard.
#1 Delete Service Account Keys
Remove the created credentials will be quite easy. Go to the dashboard and click “Credentials”. Then, you will find a “Delete” icon in the list of “Service account keys”. Click it to delete the unwanted API key.
You need to double confirm by inputting “DELETE” to complete the process. Once finished, the Account Key will not be restored.
#2 Disable Service Account Key.
If you just want to disable the service account key for temporary, you can just disable the API key and restore it later.
First, go to Credentials and click “Manage service accounts” button.
Then, follow the next image and click the “Disable” button.
This service account could be enabled again by clicking the”Enable” button. Please refer to the following image.
